OLYMPIA, Feb. 5, 2026 — Helping Hands of Chinese Communities (HHCC) joined the Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) delegation at the Washington State Capitol for a day of high-level advocacy and community connection.

The Power of Presence
Standing on the Capitol steps, we emphasized the vital importance of civic participation. Following her floor speech, Representative Janice Zahn met with our group to discuss how hard work and economic efficiency serve as the bedrock of a thriving community—values that mirror our own dedication to diligence and long-term prosperity.

Upholding Chinese Values to Serve All Communities
HHCC was proud to support this massive effort organized by the APCC. We joined a coalition of leaders from over ten diverse Washington organizations to meet at the office of House Speaker Laurie Jinkins. Together, we advocated for a vision of prosperity that rewards industry and ensures state resources effectively support all families.

APCC & HHCC Coordinator Lily met with the team of Senator T’wina Nobles (28th District) to advocate for HB 2105 / SB 5852, the Immigrant Worker Protection Act.

Our Independent Vision
Our day concluded with a clear mission: Work, Business, and Civic Duty. By collaborating with key leaders, HHCC has solidified its position as an independent, professional force. We are moving forward with job-focused initiatives that empower our members to lead, work, and thrive.
